2 Tips to help ease anxiety

Do you often catch yourself thinking, "I wish my anxiety would go away?"

I would often think to myself and wonder if my anxiety would ever go away or if it was just who I am. Let me tell you that it is possible and you can control how much you let it consume you!

I have come to realize that anxiety itself isn't what got to me, it was how I reacted to my anxiety. Here are two tips to help you ease your anxiety:

1. Rationalize Your Thoughts

- When you find your mind filling up with anxious thoughts, it can be overwhelming. Take a moment to identify what is important and what is not. Most of the time, all it takes is recognition of the thought to ease the mind.

2. Identify your Blessings

- When I get overwhelmed with thoughts, something that helps is to think of what I have been blessed with. we often times get caught up in a busy lifestyle where we are always looking for bigger and better, sometimes to a fault. When we take time to slow down the day and acknowledge that we have so much to be grateful for, it can make the world's problems seem so small.
