What is an integrative health practitioner?
Some of you may not know, but I have been working on becoming a certified Integrative Health Practitioner (IHP).
What does this mean exactly?
Integrative Health Practitioners focus on 7 integrative disciplines:
1. Ayurvedic Medicine
- The science of body and life-typing
2. Bioregulatory Medicine
- The science of self-healing and rebalancing.
3. Chinese Medicine and Herbalism
- Unlocks nature's healing wisdom.
4. Eastern Philosophy
- Using the mind to heal the body.
5. Traditional Naturopathy
- Using "right living" to reverse illness.
6. Orthomolecular Medicine
- The science of vitamins and minerals as "medicine."
7. Functional Medicine
- State-of-the-art lab testing to pinpoint underlying root causes.
The goal is to improve the quality of life and achieve your best self. IHP's look at all these disciplines and integrate them in order to create an individualized program that is right for you!
